Onihime VS (Review)

Onihime VS was one of the first posts to come out of the Boanerges blog. Now it's done and finished. Here is a quick recap of the plot. "Weak, bullied, and pessimistic about life, that's Setsuna Kashiwagi. On the verge of jumping off a bridge, a mysterious man appears behind him and offers the contract "10 million yen in exchange for your life in a year." Skeptical at first, he accepts. Waking up the next morning, thinking it was just a dream, he notices 2 beautiful women sitting beside him. They are Kanna and Rena, Oni princesses here to claim his heart in a year." As the story progress they both form relationships with Setsuna. Along with couple other girls on the way. What felt could be a long lasting harem manga was rushed at the end. Onihime was actually out before we started Boanerges and it was still going at a slow pace. Long hiatus and breaks made the finish manga that you see now longer than it was suppose to be, like a year or two long than it should have been. The story was good the plot was good but the end, the end. It was just eh for a good series. This was one of the few times that I actually thought the ending was rushed. LIM Dall-Young, the author, just ended it wasn't a gradual end it had felt pretty abrupt. I don't liked when series are milked for all that their worth but these series really could have used that. For the most part the last few chapters before the ending felt like filler rather than an actual story for the manga. As for the end it was pretty much what I thought the ending would be like when I first read this manga a couple years ago. The usually harem kind of endings, women chasing the main character while another girl is pulling him, especially for this one because well Setsuna's the main character he can't die by having his heart eaten. It kind of has to be a good ending. It was still a very fast ending, I actually searched the internet to make sure it ended and to my dismay it did. People are hoping for a part two or something along those lines, but it most likely won't happen here's hoping though. So recap, it's a good story good art and LIM Dall-Young always does stuff well, but Onihime like some of his other series he just rushes the end, which I feel is a negative.

So if you take my option this is a good series despite the ending. I would give it the rating of a 9/10 because I feel the only thing that ruined it was the ending. The art is good and the plot is good too. Now that it's finished you could just read it all through because it's only about 29 chapters. I know that I will in the future. Enjoy it guys and gals it's good.
