Stop CISPA!!!

Remember SOPA and PIPA? Well here comes another one, but this time it has some serious backing to it. Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) is another attempt to "reign in" the internet. But this time it is a bit more controversial than SOPA. CISPA is all about monitoring and stopping cyber crime, unlike SOPA which was essentially censoring the internet. The scary thing about CISPA is it's vagueness of what exactly it would do. "Monitoring the sharing of not just information about cyber attacks but also any case that involves computer "crime", exploitation of minors, the protection of individuals from the danger of death or serious bodily harm" That's CISPA folks, broken down plain and simple. Seem to be lacking anything? How about limits? CISPA doesn't really have any, and that means free reign for the government to do what it pleases.
You would think that such a problematic bill would die almost immediately, but that's not the case. On April 26 2012, The House of Representatives passed CISPA. It is currently under debate in the Senate. CISPA has a lot of backing too, some recognizable names are: Facebook, Microsoft, IBM, AT&T, Verizon, and Oracle. Some less recognizable but still monstrous sponsors of CISPA are: BSA, CTIA, ITIC, TechAmerica, and USCC. So CISPA is a powerhouse that is backed by....if I were to put this into manga terms it would be Chiffon Fairchild, Uchiha Madara, Monkey D. Dragon, Sen Goku, Gatts and Lain all rolled up into one big but whooping, planet destroying, universe destroying/creating monster. In order to defeat CISPA everyone needs to do their part to protect the internet.

False Berserk Update!!!

This morning I got a text from Mangahere telling me that there was ten new chapters released. Unfortunately it was just the first ten chapters being re-released. I was super excited too because the last chapter ended with  a cliffhanger and I wanted to know what happened next. Also it has been a really long time since the last update, so ten at once wasn't that hard to believe. Another reason to be excited about a lot of chapters released at once is because the updates for Berserk are few and far between. But for any veteran Berserk readers this isn't anything new, on average there have been ten chapters released per year. Although this year has been especially slow, there has been two chapters released in the last eight months. It sucks but it is understandable, because of the new anime project. I know this post sounds like I'm complaining about the slow releases, but that's not what I am trying to do.I am complaining about the re-release of the first ten chapters and the disappointment when I realized that they weren't what I hoped they were. Miura Kentaro is ill, so there isn't anything to be done about the slow releases. No matter how slow the chapters are released, I will not stop reading Berserk. Why? Because it is one of the best manga out there and no Berserk fan would give up simply because of slow releases!!!

Air Gear has ended

After 10 years with 36 volumes and 357 chapters Air Gear is finally over. I would have to say that I loved this series. Though it was hard to follow at times it still great. With appearances from Obama and Hawkins, I just found those parts to be awesome. The other 2/3 of Boanerges did not really see it as a good manga, but I felt like many others that it was good because of the comedy and the right amount of actions and a dash of romance. Air Gear was one of those series that people feel should go on but also end at the same time. It was good but the end just got a tiny bit weird. Even though the series ended I'll probably reread it in the future it was one of my many favorites and it is hard to see it go.

One Piece Ep. 549

What a great episode. What made it good I thought was how Robin clone stood in the middle of them and then disappeared and she just comes walking out the forest smiling, Robin is the best. That part was just the best part for me.

Toonami is back today.......at midnight

Well today is finally the day that Toonami comes back to Cartoon Network. Coming back with a bang with Bleach, FMA(Full Metal Alchemist), Deadman's Wonderland, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Casshern Sins and a few others that are yet to be told about. I think that it's great that it's coming back but why pretty much at midnight to morning. When I heard that Toonami was coming back I thought that it was a good alternative for anime on T.V without having to pay for the extra Funimation and Anime Network, but if it is going to show at such a late time I wouldn't be able to watch it and DVR is not anime option. Even though I'm really happy it came back I'm also kind of mad that it airs on midnights. For something I thought was a good alternative it turned out to be something that I will probably never see.

100th post: Sankarea how it stands

I have been busy for the past few weeks and I just got caught up with Sankarea again. From the four episodes I have watched it see that it is moving slower than I had anticipated. From what I have read online the series will most likely have only one season with 13 episodes. Is it stands now I have no idea how much of the story they will actually put in the anime because they had just gotten pass the part where Rea was allowed to stay at Chihiro's home. From the preview of episode 8 where they go to the mall, I'm predicting the show will probably end back at the hotel or what ever it is in the anime during Rea crazed state and the burning building. Which is pretty disappointing because I'm the kind of person that needs answers. So I'm hoping for a season 2 it might happen it might not but you never know. So as another series review I would say it is still good but it is a bit slower than I expected.

A picture a moment from the manga and the same for the anime. In the manga she bites him but not in the anime

One Piece Chapter 667 Recap

This week we see Luffy demonstrating a bit more of his Haki. Specifically "Thank You Fire", a move that reflects an opponents move back at them with twice the power. We also get to see Franky use Choppers ability's. Well, more like he ate a rumble ball and went berserk, but it was still cool to see. This confirms my suspension that Oda would make the people who got their body's switched learn to use their new bodies ability's. Although now that Law is working with Luffy, he might put everyone back into their original body's and call it good. Either way, it was cool to see Franky go berserk while he was in Chopper.
Now lets's talk about Law's proposal. He said that he was on the island because he was looking for something that would give him enough power to defeat one of the Four Emperors. The thought of Law and Luffy  working together is awesome, so I really want it to happen. But this mysterious artifact is most likely a Phoneoglyph and I don't think Robin would be ok with Law using it. That is what I think, but the reality is that I don't know for sure, so I could be completely wrong. Either way, the chapters to come will be epic.
I also want to speculate on which Emperor they would target ( if they team up). I think it is most likely Big Ma'am, because Luffy already has a history with her, and she is the one we know the most about (after the two year break). I don't think it will be Kaidou, simply because we know almost nothing about him, except for the fact that he is on of the Four Emperors. It obviously isn't Shanks, because Luffy wouldn't let that happen. And it isn't Blackbeard, because he will (most likely) be the last, or on of the last bosses that they fight. No mater what happens, it will be epic, but we can't do anything except wait for next week. So until then don't forget to read more manga :)

To all the anime fans Toonami is coming back on May 26 to Adult Swim. I have to say it is about time. Toonami is were I got my anime start and I love that it is coming back. The shows that they will have is sortof unclear right now but it will be good. On the main site the hash tag that they have for Toonami is not really a pre-teen teen friendly but if you want to tweet it is "#ToonamisBackBitches"(I personally don't like swearing) For everyone that reads our blog be happy if you were a fan of Toonami because it is back!

One Piece Chapter 666 Recap

Hello and thanks for reading this. This blog is all about anime and manga, this post is about One Piece. It involves facts and details about the chapter, as well as my own thoughts on things. Well that's enough of that, let's get on with the recap.
This week was what I like to call a lead up chapter. Don't know what a Lead Up Chapter is? It is a chapter in a manga that has lots of different things happen, but at the same time nothing of significance at all. Think about it, did anything really happen this chapter? The answer is both yes and no. No because...well nothing happened. Hahaha, what I mean is none of the things that we currently are concerned about are addressed. Like Smoker doesn't find his heart, or Luffy doesn't meet Ceasar Clown. See what I mean? Nothing that we were waiting for happened. Instead lots of little things happened that opened up new questions. For example I want to know what happened to Zoro's group, because I cannot imagine Zoro, Sanji AND Brook loosing. This is just my gut feeling, but I don't think that they fought the mountain brothers at all, it seems more likely that....um...AH! I bet that Sanji and Brook were about to do something with Nami's body, but Zoro stepped in and tried to stop them. The end result being they all knocked each other out, and that't when the mountain brothers found them. Now I have no clue if that's right or not, but it's what I think happened because I cannot fathom those three loosing.
The next new event would be Nami being captured. I didn't expect this to happen, but it doesn't surprise me. It actually makes sense, because Ceasar strives to be better than Dr. Vegapunk and Franky's body is based off of a lot of Dr. Vegapunk's designs. So it makes sense that Ceasar would want Franky's body to study. In regards to what I think about this event, well...there is so much going on right now that it's hard to say for sure.
The last event would be learning that Law is in fact here under his own will (not that I can imagine anyone making him do something that he didn't want to) and that he ISN'T working with Ceasar. We still don't know why he is here or what he is doing, but at least we know he doing horrible things to children...wow that sentence sounds really wrong...eh, oh well. Well that's all I've got for you, but I hope to see you next week. Until then don't forget to read more manga :)

Freezing, Ratman, and Beelzebub are out
